Cavendish wins 3rd stage, Boonen leads in Qatar |
DOHA, Qatar (AP) - British rider Mark Cavendish won the third stage of the Tour of Qatar on Tuesday while former champion Tom Boonen of Belgium retained the yellow jersey.
Cavendish earned his first win for Team Sky on the 91-mile stage.
Boonen, riding for Omega-Pharma Quick Step, increased his overall lead on American rider Tyler Farrar to 6 seconds.
