Cumulonimble wins Gulfstream feature

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Cumulonimble returned from a 19-month layoff to beat Kiss the Stars by three-quarters of a length Friday in the $60,000 feature race for fillies and mares at Gulfstream Park.

Cumulonimble, a 6-year-old mare ridden by Jose Lezcano, ran 1 1/16 miles on the turf course in 1:43.18 and paid $14, $7.20 and $5.80 for her seventh victory in 14 lifetime starts. The race was her first since winning an Illinois-bred stakes at Arlington Park in June 2010.

Kiss the Stars returned $7.60 and $5.20, and Here to Run paid $4 to show.
