ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Miss Radiance overtook pacesetter Bwana Babe and went on to a half-length victory in the $59,048 Bug Brush Purse for fillies and mares at Santa Anita on Thursday, sending sports talk radio host and co-owner Jim Rome to the winner's circle.

Ridden by David Flores, Miss Radiance ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:43.22 and paid $5, $3 and $2.20 as the 3-2 favorite.

Bwana Babe returned $3.60 and $2.80, while Heidi Maria was another neck back in third and paid $3.60 to show.

The victory, worth $34,800, increased Miss Radiance's career earnings to $82,680, with two wins in six starts. The bay filly returned to the races in October after a year's absence.
