NEW YORK (AP) -- U.S. midfielder Michael Bradley is in doubt for next week's World Cup qualifiers after he strained a muscle in his right thigh.

Tests on Tuesday revealed the injury, and Bradley will miss "about two or three weeks," AS Roma spokesperson Catia Augelli told MLSsoccer.com. The United States resumes qualifying for the 2014 World Cup on Sept. 7 in Jamaica, then hosts the Reggae Boyz four days later in Columbus, Ohio.

The Americans are currently 1-0-1 in the North and Central American and Caribbean region.

Bradley played the entire game in Sunday's league opener against Catania, recording the assist as Roma salvaged a 2-2 draw.
