El Mouaziz dominates in winning NYC Marathon
It was a race for about 12 miles, but Morocco's El Mouaziz took any mystery out of the finish of Sunday's New York City Marathon. El Mouaziz broke away from 1996 Olympic champion Josia Thugwane to claim a victory in 2 hours, 10 minutes and 9 seconds. Ludmila Petrova of Russia took the women's crown in 2:25:45.
