LAKELAND, Florida (Ticker) -- Brandon Duckworth pitched six strong innings and Todd Pratt drove in three runs as the Philadelphia Phillies posted an 11-3 Grapefruit League victory over the Detroit Tigers. One of the Phillies' top prospects, Duckworth gave up one run and five hits, walking two and striking out four as he won for the second time in three spring decisions. Pratt knocked in his runs with a pair of doubles. Mike Lieberthal, trying to make it back after missing most of last season with a knee injury, added a solo homer and Bob Van Iten had a pinch three-run double in the eighth for Philadelphia. Tigers starter Jeff Farnsworth gave up two runs and four hits in four innings. Dmitri Young drove in two runs and Jose Macias belted a solo homer for Detroit. |
