ANGELS NEWS

Alerts MLBLast Result: 4-1 win vs. San Francisco, October 27 Series: Won World Series, 4-3 The Angels will have a parade in Anaheim on Tuesday morning after winning the first World Series in franchise's 42 years. Mayor Tom Daley and Jackie Autry, widow of former owner and American icon Gene Autry, will attend the ceremony which will go through Edison International Field. "Every Angel is to be congratulated, from the players on the field to the players on the bench and on all the farm teams, and from the locker room attendants to the Edison Field ushers to the batboys to the ticket sellers to the corporate partners," said Michael Eisner, the chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, which owns the Angels. "The Anaheim Angels brought to Southern California a once-in-a-life community extravaganza. What a morale boost for everyone who cheered them on." ... 3B Troy Glaus was named Most Valuable Player after hitting three homers and delivering the go-ahead two-run double in Game Six when the Angels rallied from a five-run deficit for a 6-5 victory.
