ATHENS, Georgia (Ticker) -- Missouri scored the final 10 points of the game and posted a 71-68 victory over Wisconsin in an NCAA Tournament East Region first-round game.

Amanda Lassiter scored on a pump fake in the lane to give the Tigers the lead for good at 69-68 with 1:32 left and Marlena Williams added a pair of free throws with 30 seconds remaining.

Missouri (21-9), the 10th seeded team, will meet Georgia on Sunday in the second round.

Wisconsin (18-10), the seventh-seeded team, held a 68-61 lead after Nina Smith hit a pair of free throws with 3:52 left. But the Badgers failed to score the rest of the way.

Evan Unrau scored on a follow shot with 3:42 remaining to ignite the rally. Natalie Bright scored on a layup and a leaner in the lane by Williams pulled Missouri within 68-67 with 2:16 left.

Lassiter's shot in the lane gave the Tigers the lead. After Wisconsin's Tamara Moore was whistled for an offensive foul, Williams converted a pair of free throws.

Lassiter, one of the nation's top scorers at 18.9 points per game, finished with 20 and Williams had 16.

Jessie Stomski led Wisconsin with 29 points and 11 rebounds.
