WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Rosalind Ross scored eight straight points during a decisive second-half run as second-ranked Oklahoma rallied for its 18th straight Big 12 Conference victory, 82-73 over No. 11 Baylor. Ross finished with 24 points and helped disappoint the second-largest crowd in Baylor history -- 10,031. She had consecutive 3-pointers to fuel a 20-6 spurt that turned a nine-point deficit into a 72-67 lead with just under five minutes to play. LaNeisha Caufield added 23 points and Caton Hill had 21 and 11 rebounds for the Sooners (14-1, 4-0 Big 12), who also have won seven in a row overall and 11 straight on the road. Oklahoma also got 13 points and five assists from Stacey Dales, made 8-of-20 3-pointers and held Baylor (13-2, 1-2) to 39 percent (27-of-69) shooting. Sheila Lambert led all scorers with 26 points and added nine assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Lady Bears. |
