COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Jocelyn Penn scored 20 of her 32 points in the second half as No. 10 South Carolina pulled away for a 91-66 Southeastern Conference victory over Arkansas. The Lady Gamecocks (16-1, 4-0 SEC) only led, 36-34, at halftime, but outscored Arkansas, 55-32, in the second half for their 11th straight win. Shaunzinski Gortman added 17 points for South Carolina, which shot 56 percent (34-of-61) from the field while holding the Lady Razorbacks to just 36 percent (26-of-72). Center Petra Ujhelyi grabbed 13 rebounds for the Lady Gamecocks, who dominated inside with a 44-20 advantage in points in the paint. Dana Cherry scored 19 points off the bench and India Lewis added 17 for Arkansas, which suffered its third straight defeat. |
