AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Heather Schreiber scored 28 points and drilled the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime as 17th-ranked Texas handed No. 12 Texas Tech its third straight loss, 87-83, in a Big 12 Conference showdown.

After Stacy Stephens scored seven straight points for Texas, Schreiber's shot from beyond the arc snapped an 80-80 tie. Schreiber also made two free throws with 17 seconds left to give the Longhorns (12-2, 4-0 Big 12) an 85-80 lead.

Schreiber was 7-of-9 for the field while Stephens made 9-of-15 shots and finished with 26 points. Texas shot 50 percent (17-of-34) after halftime and improved to 5-1 against ranked teams this season.

Tracy Cook contributed 16 points before fouling out for the Longhorns, whose starting frontcourt of Schreiber, Stephens and Cook outscored Texas Tech's trio of Cisti Greenwalt, Candi White and Tanisha Ellison, 70-19.

Jia Perkins collected 25 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds and hit a 3-pointer to force overtime for the Lady Raiders (9-5, 1-3). The three-game slide is their longest in 12 years.

Amber Tarr had 18 points, Greenwalt finished with 15 and Jolee Ayers chipped in 13 and eight rebounds off the bench before fouling out for Texas Tech.
