March 28, 1995: Ten days after coming out of his first retirement, Michael Jordan dropped a double-nickel on the Knicks in their house, leading his Bulls to a 113-111 win.

That 55-point performance was a regular-season record for points by an opponent at the current Garden. His Airness also set the standard for most field goals made (21) and most free throws made and attempted (20 of 22) there, and he owns two of the three playoff triple-doubles posted by an opponent at the "world's most famous arena."

In other words, MJ loves MSG.

By coincidence (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), Jordan will kick off the Third Coming in the Big Apple on Tuesday, the same night Game 3 of the World Series is being played in another of New York's boroughs.

While sports fans will have a choice to make that night, the decision shouldn't be a difficult one. There won't be any heroics from Curt Schilling or Randy Johnson in the Bronx; they won't be in action. Meanwhile, not only will Jordan play, but you can bet he has something special planned for his Manhattan appearance.

So tune in Wednesday for Game 4 and, chances are, you won't have missed much in the Fall Classic. You can't say the same if you miss Michael in the Garden on Tuesday.

I like Mike as much as the next sports fan, Nurse Ratched, but this is the Fall Classic. Game 3. At Yankee Stadium.

Don't you people want to watch the World Series? What's the matter with you guys? I want to see the hands. C'mon, be good Americans.

Down 0-2, the New York Yankees return to the Bronx desperately needing Game 3. No team has ever rallied from an 0-3 deficit to win a best-of-seven series.

This game is HUGE.

Throw in five-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens, who just might be fired-up enough to hurl a bat at somebody, and you have a Tuesday night television event.

Seriously, how often do you get to see a baseball dynasty on the ropes? You're going to miss that for Space Jam III? We'll have 81 more chances to watch Jordan tarnish his legacy. And he'll be wearing that Washington Wizards Halloween costume for the next six months.

Game 3 is must-see TV, even if it's on Fox. Game 3 is Babe Ruth's called-shot (1932). It's a Don Drysdale three-hitter (1963). It's an unlikely hero like Mark Lemke delivering an RBI-single in the bottom of the 12th inning (1991).

Game 3 is Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. ET. Be there or be square.
