Record: 6-5, 5-3 Pac-10
Coach: Bruce Snyder, eighth season (52-38; 120-99-5 overall)
Top Off. Player: RB J.R. Redmond (1,085 yards, 12 TDs)
Top Def. Player: LB Adam Archuleta (102 tackles, 21 for loss)
Season Summary:
For the second straight year, ASU stumbled out of the gate, standing 2-3 after a 48-17 loss to Notre Dame. Then Redmond embarrassed the school with his now-infamous secret marriage. But a surprising 28-7 win at Washington came in handy when it came to bowl contention, and the Sun Devils earned their tickets to Hawaii with a 42-27 defeat of rival Arizona in the last game of the season. QB Ryan Kealy suffered a torn ACL and won't be able to play in the bowl game.

TEAM HEADLINES
Aug 18  Stewart Mandel Mailbag: An ode to the West Coasters
  Record: 6-5, 3-5 ACC
Coach: Jim Caldwell, seventh season (23-54)
Top Off. Player: RB Morgan Kane (275 carries, 1,161 yards)
Top Def. Player: DE Bryan Ray (10 sacks, 19 tackles for loss)
Season Summary:
The Demon Deacons earned their first bowl bid since 1992 with a 26-23 upset of Georgia Tech in their final game. A senior-heavy club, Wake utilized the running of Kane and a defense that allowed only 18 points a game all season to reverse six years of losing.
