| It's not his pure receiving stats (888 yards, four TDs) that made David Terrell a first team All-Big Ten selection. He gives the Wolverines exactly the kind of all-around playmaking ability of former Heisman winner Charles Woodson.
With opponent Alabama expected to line up receiver Freddie Milons every which way in the Orange Bowl, watch out for Michigan to do the same with Terrell. This season, Terrell has hurt teams on the ground (bursting a reverse for a 45-yard TD against Wisconsin) and on defense (one interception, two pass break-ups).
The true sophomore carries on the Wolverine tradition of speed at receiver, clocking in at 4.31 in the 40. A three-time all-state selection in high school, Terrell is no stranger to playing both ways. In addition to 108 catches, he notched 30 interceptions at Richmond's Hugenot High School |
