Shaken up, not seriously hurt Two Jaguars reserves inactive after minor car accidentPosted: Sunday January 03, 1999 01:02 PM
JACKSONVILLE, Florida (AP) -- Jaguars reserves Tavian Banks and Cordell Taylor were inactive for Sunday's playoff game after being involved in a car accident on their way to the team hotel the night before. Team officials said both rookies were shaken up, but not seriously hurt. They are expected to be available should the Jaguars beat the New England Patriots to advance to the second round of the playoffs. Banks, a running back taken in the fourth-round draft pick out of Iowa, was expected to return to action for the first time since suffering a foot injury Oct. 18 against the Buffalo Bills. Taylor is a cornerback selected in the second-round from Hampton. He had been mostly a special teams contributor this season and had not played in the Jaguars' last six games.
