He is more of a receiving TE than a physical blocker type. He is very comfortable catching the ball, shows soft hands and the ability to get open versus m/m coverage and he has good quickness and a short little burst in and out of his routes. He has a good overall feel for the passing game and actually gets deep a little better than most TEs. He does an excellent job versus zone and has sneaky deep speed. He is not real physical at the point of attack and is not a dominating blocker. He's most effective in space or on the move and in motion. He is definitely a tough guy to match up against in man to man situations, but to be a complete player on the NFL level, he will need to improve his blocking and physical style. As good as his skills are, there is a feeling that he did not have a great senior year. He may be a little bit of an underachiever.
