Warner comes up big in biggest game of year

ATLANTA (CNNSI.com) -- In the biggest game of the year, the best quarterback of the regular season came up big again and carried the St. Louis Rams to the NFL Championship.
Kurt Warner threw for a Super Bowl record 414 yards, completing 24 of 45 passes and connecting for two touchdowns, including the 73-yard game winner with less than two minutes remaining. He allowed no interceptions.
Warner's two big targets -- Isaac Bruce and rookie Torry Holt -- tied a Super Bowl record for a receiving tandem as both gained more than 100 yards receiving. Bruce tallied 162 yards on six receptions and caught a touchdown pass, and Holt caught seven passes for 109 yards, including a touchdown.
Titan's quarterback Steve McNair did his damage on the ground, rushing for a Super Bowl record 64 yards on eight attempts. He also threw for 214 yards, completing 22 of 36 attempts but failing to toss a touchdown pass.
In the ground game, Eddie George was a workhorse for the Titans, carrying the ball 28 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns. His counterpart on the Rams, Marshall Faulk, rushed for only 17 yards on 10 carries, but he caught five passes for 90 yards.
