PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors after his junior season. Totals last year included 36 tackles/3.5 tackles
for loss/3 sacks. Junior totals included career numbers of 58/15.5/7 after posting 39/8/5 as a sophomore.
Positives: Hardworking college defender with minimal size/speed numbers for the next level. Plays with good lean, gets leverage on opponents and works his hands throughout the action. Fights through double-team blocks to get to ballcarriers, shows a burst of closing speed and has the ability to slide down the line laterally, effectively pursuing the action. Quick off the edge and shows great explosiveness as a pass rusher. Plays with a nonstop motor. Negatives: Lacks functional football strength and easily controlled at the point by a single blocker. Lacks great speed in pursuit. Analysis: Browne works hard and gets the most from his assets, but he?s a marginal athlete who does not possess much upside for the next level. He must add bulk to his frame and improve his play against the run to have any chance of sticking at the next level. Projection: FA |
