PLAYERS
Biography: Full-time starter the past two seasons and named Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2011. Senior totals included 55
tackles/17 tackles for loss/4.5 sacks after he had 39/10/4 as a junior.
Positives: Explosive interior blocker who makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. Works to bend his knees, plays with good pad level and fires through the gaps of the offensive line. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself, has opponents playing back on their heels and is strong at the point of attack. Quickly locates the ball and makes a lot of positive plays. Keeps his feet moving on contact and works hard until the whistle blows. Negatives: Lacks great ability in pursuit and possesses just a short burst of speed. Not an overpowering force in the middle. Analysis: Still was a solid player at Penn State and showed steady development in his game the past three years. He's not a spectacular talent, but does the little things well. Best at tackle on a four-man line Still should quickly break into the starting lineup as a rookie. Projection: 2nd ![]() Matthew O'Haren/Icon SMI
