Round 5, Pick 137
Position: DE
Class:  Sr
School: Tennessee
HT: 6'4½"
WT: 265 lbs.
40 Time: 4.87
Conference: SEC
Biography: USC transfer who started the past two seasons for Tennessee, winning all-conference honors after each campaign. Senior totals included 56 tackles/3 tackles for loss/14 sacks after he had 48/5/12 the prior season. Also intercepted one pass and broke up four more as a junior. Lined up primarily at defensive tackle for Tennessee.

Positives: Athletic defensive lineman with adequate size and solid growth potential. Quick off the snap, keeps his feet driving up the field and plays with good pad level. Consistently focused on by opponents, works his hands throughout the action and moves well on the field. Easily changes direction, flows well to the action and makes plays up the field or outside the box.

Negatives: Possesses a thin build, is slow getting off blocks and gets controlled by a single opponent. Average closing burst.

Analysis: Jackson was a solid college lineman out of position on the interior of Tennessee's defensive line. He offers potential as a conventional end or could ultimately grow into a two gap-end for a 3-4 alignment. Jackson is underrated and has a lot of upside.

Projection: 4th
