Uses his hands to protect himself, stays with assignments and consistently positions himself to make a play on the ball. Is a solid open-field tackler. Breaks down well, keeps his feet off the initial block and immediately makes his way to the ballcarrier. Gets depth on pass drops, slides off blocks and displays a great sense for what's happening on the field.

Negatives: Lacks great foot speed and the ability to catch ballcarriers in pursuit. Not forceful up the field on the blitz. Lacks range in coverage
