EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Pittsburgh forward Jaromir Jagr missed his fourth straight playoff game Friday night with a groin injury that might sideline him for the rest of the Penguins' first-round playoff series with New Jersey.

"If I feel the way I feel now, I won't play," Jagr said after arriving at the Continental Airlines Arena a little more than a hour before Game 5 of the best-of-7 series that is tied at two games apiece.

When the game got under way at 7:30 p.m. ET, Jagr was not in the lineup.

Jagr was quick to point out that things could change quickly, but the NHL's leading scorer added he would not be able to play in his current condition.

"It's impossible to start and stop," Jagr said, noting that's the key to his game.

Jagr re-aggravated the groin injury late in Game 1, a 3-1 Devils' victory.

Pittsburgh won the next two games without him, but the Devils evened the series with a 4-2 win Tuesday night. Jagr said Wednesday that he expected to play in Game 5, but he struggled skating in practice on Thursday.

He did not come to the arena for the morning skate on Friday.

"Whenever he is ready to come back, we'll welcome him back with open arms," Penguins forward Matthew Barnaby. "We just have to focus on the game."
