Deke is key Mutombo must play Shaq straight up, and win

CNNSI.com's Kevin Loughery and Vince Cellini checked in with the Sports Tonight show from Los Angeles to discuss the NBA Finals.
Vince Cellini: In the Eastern Conference finals, Milwaukee head coach George Karl downplayed the role of Dikembe Mutombo. But Lakers head coach Phil Jackson is really playing up Deke, perhaps to prod his own center. Kevin Loughery: This is a very important series for Mutombo. He has to play Shaquille O'Neal, one of the great offensive center in the NBA. The Sixers are not going to double-down on Shaq; it's Mutombo by himself. He has to stop Shaq.
Cellini: Good news for Philly. Forward George Lynch, who has missed the past 10 games with a broken foot and who was not expected to play before Game 4, had the boot taken off and did some running. Loughery: George ran on the beach, under the guidance of the 76ers team physicians. He was able to run straight ahead, but he had problems with lateral movement. I expect him to play in Game 1 or Game 2. Cellini: After all, a fracture is no big deal for Philadelphia players. Loughery: It doesn't mean anything in Philadelphia. You have to play, no matter how hurt you are.
