The Mets returned home for Game 3 at Shea Stadium a little demoralized and very angry. Down 0-2 to their crosstown rivals, the Mets needed to circle the wagons after Game 2's now-infamous bat-throwing incident. Worst of all, the Mets faced Orlando Hernandez, the Yankees’ postseason ace, in Game 3. The Mets regrouped to take Game 3 with Benny Agbayani and Todd Zeile leading the charge.
