Gold fix
Juarez loses fight, protest; Williams also denied
American boxers will go home from an Olympics without a gold medal for the first time since 1948. And the U.S. isn't happy about it. The U.S. protested Rocky Juarez's loss, claiming he was being held and therefore unable to land any scoring punches. The IABA allowed the decision to stand, but the referee was suspended. The U.S. also felt Ricardo Williams Jr. didn't get credit for several scoring punches, but did not protest.
