Philipp Schoch
- Sport: Olympic Snowboarding
- Nation: Switzerland
- DOB: October 12, 1979
- Career Highlights: Although he’s the younger of the two Schoch brothers, Philipp is the one with Olympic bragging rights over Simon after winning
an all-Schoch final in the parallel giant slalom in 2006 in Turin. That was the second straight Olympic gold for Philipp,
making him the first snowboarder to achieve that feat. He also took silver medals at the world championships in parallel slalom
and parallel GS in 2007, and his resume includes 25 podium finishes in World Cup events - including 15 golds and the parallel
season title in 2004-05. The veteran's results have suffered lately due to lingering back problems, and his best finish in
four World Cup events this winter was 14th at Kreischberg, Austria, in January. Still, it would be tough to count him out
if he has any chance for a third straight gold.
