sailing, he ultimately became an All-American champion three times.

Foerster has competed in two Olympic Games (1988 and 1992), and earned a silver
medal in '92 in the Flying Dutchman class. Now racing in a significantly smaller
and lighter boat (the 470 class), he and crew member Bob Merrick have already
earned a berth to compete in Sydney. The team plans to travel to Australia to
practice at the Olympic Regatta site, then spend most of the summer sailing in
Europe.
