More excited by the minute

Post Processing. Wow! De we get a lot of gear. The biggest challenge was packing it all into two bags. I manage okay but I had to send most of my own clothes back home. Bummer! The stuff the USOC gave us was incredible and our uniforms are sharp! I am getting more and more excited by the minute. Well I arrived in Sydney yesterday and boy I am T-I-R-E-D!!! The flight was fine long, but I lucked out with an exit row. I feel asleep as soon as we got on the plane and when I woke up it was morning in Australia. I trained a bit yesterday, but this morning was rough. I got through it and now I must stay awake to get my acclimated to the time change. It is starting to hit me that I am an Olympian, and I feel really good. I had a few interviews this morning and some kids even asked me for my autograph. Not bad for a hammer thrower from little ole Long Island (smiles). We are going to be in Brisbane until the 12 of Sept. and then off to the Olympic Village. I can't wait! The people here in Sydney are awesome and everyone is going out of their way to make us feel welcome. I am looking forward to getting to the Village. My parents are coming in on the 22 and that makes this trip even more exciting.
