Did you go to the Opening Ceremonies?

I did participate in the opening ceremony. It was amazing. I feeling that could never be described, without having been there. My favorite part was the lighting of the fire ring and when it was raised up. Then when it was raised all the way up the colored waterfall to the top of the torch. It was amazing, and left me speechless. There wasn't too much about the ceremony that surprised me, because I went with a very open mind without expectations. I wanted to be able to enjoy every aspect of it.

I meet so many people, it was crazy. I met the Williams sisters, four world champion boxers, Mary Ann Jones with track & field, Blaine Wilson and John Rothlisberger (gymnasts who are actually my house-mates), Tom Malchow (the swimmer), I walked into the Dream Team by accident, along with one of the women's basketball players. The funniest one was the accidental meeting with Maurice Greene, also track & field.

What's your schedule for the next few days?

For the next few days, I will be training and then just relaxing and getting ready to dive. It is just around the corner.

How's the Athletes Village?

I don't mind where we are staying. It is a house with multiple bedrooms. There are two per room. I am actually in a trailer that is in the back of the house with three of my teammates. It is two rooms that are connected by a bathroom. It is nice because we are away from all the noise.

What do you think of Sydney?

I love Sydney. The city is awesome. It reminded me a little of southern California, because of the red roof tops, but it is a much cleaner and safer city. This is an awesome city for the Olympics! I am so glad that I am able to be here for this! I would love to live here. Or maybe a little further outside the city, I like the country a lot.

What do you think of the venue?

The pool here is awesome! I am very excited to dive and compete here. I couldn't ask for a better pool.

Did you remember to pack everything?

Fortunately I didn't forget anything. I was able to get everything I needed into one bag (because we received two more bags at processing).

I could never thank enough, those who have helped me. This experience has been breathtaking and it isn't even over yet, it has just begun! Those who have supported me all the way threw, my parents, family, friends, teachers, and the public. Everyone has been great! I could never want more.

-- Sarah
