SYDNEY, Sept 12 (AFP) - FIFA president Sepp Blatter and French football legend Michel Platini will attend the opening ceremony and kickoff of next month's Asian Cup, officials said here.

FIFA secretary-general Michel Zen-Ruffinen said following a meeting here both men would be present at the tournament, which gets underway in Lebanon on October 12.
