SYDNEY, Sept 24 (AFP) - France's heptathlon world champion Eunice Barber ended her bid to win the Olympic title here on Sunday when clearly unfit she only made one attempt in the long jump before quitting the discipline.

The 25-year-old Sierra Leone-born athlete took the decision after going to see the team physiotherapist.
