2 -- Highest finish by a Georgia Tech player. In 1963, Yellow Jackets quarterback Billy Lothridge was the runner-up to Navy's Roger Staubach, followed by Joe Hamilton finishing second to Ron Dayne.
3 -- Purdue players who have finished second in the Heisman voting -- QB Bob Griese ('66), RB Leroy Keyes ('68) and QB Mike Phipps ('69).
7 -- Notre Dame players who have won the award, the most of any school. Angelo Bertelli ('43), Johnny Lujack ('47), Leon Hart ('49), Johnny Lattner ('53), Paul Hornung ('56), John Huarte ('64) and Tim Brown ('87) all won the award. Ohio State is second with six.
8 -- Players with a last name beginning with "W" who have won the award, including the last three -- Ricky Williams, Charles Woodson and Danny Wuerffel. "S" is the letter with the most winners (nine).
9 -- Heisman winners in the NFL, the oldest being '84 recipient Doug Flutie. One plays in the NBA ('93 winner Charlie Ward).

45 -- Smallest margin of victory in Heisman history. Auburn RB Bo Jackson edged out Iowa quarterback Chuck Long in 1986.
49.4 -- Percent of Ron Dayne's yards that have come after contact in his career (3,424 of his 6,925 yards).
84 -- Points received by Berwanger, the inaugural winner in 1935. Berwanger, a halfback at Chicago, outdistanced runner-up Monk Meyer of Army by 55 points.
253 -- Points received by Randy Moss in 1997, the most ever by a Marshall player.
921 -- Number of Heisman voters in 1999.
1,750 -- Largest margin of victory in Heisman history. In 1968, Purdue's Keyes was a distant second to USC tailback O.J. Simpson.
1954 -- Year the last time a Wisconsin player won the Heisman Trophy, when Badgers back Alan Ameche received the bronze statue.
2,853 -- Points received by Simpson in 1968, the most of any winner. It is 496 more than 1976 winner Tony Dorsett, who has the second-highest total.
