The clock is ticking on Sampras' hopes for a 14th Grand Slam title. But aside from Wimbledon, Sampras feels the most comfortable on the hard courts at Flushing Meadows, the site of his first Slam 11 years earlier. His low seeding (10th) and a tough draw won't help matters, but Sampras still has enough game to make plenty of noise in New York.
